Stay away from French fries!
The ever-popular French fries ranks around the middle of the list of foods that will impede your weight loss efforts. They are one of many cases where the food processing industry takes an inherently healthy food item and destroys its healthiness. The primary concern of French fries comes from them being fried in typically trans fats. These unhealthy fats are loaded with nutritionally void calories, aside from their other health problems. Even when cooked in healthy oils, French fries are made with high glycemic potatoes, carbs that are easily converted into fat by the body. These two considerations combined, one should avoid French fries while trying to lose weight.
